Rearview Camera Opted by Most Car Buyers

Each year, an alarming number of children are killed from back over incidents.

In fact, just over a weekend, a two–year-old boy was killed after his father accidentally ran the car over him in 300 Block of El Paso Street in Merkel, Texas.

Due to sequencing fatal accidents in driveways, the Auto safety regulators aim to prevent children from getting injured or killed from back over incidents.

According to the Arrow Ford Sales Manager, Shanna Kevil, the company has witnessed more requests from parents seeking for the rearview camera technology in cars.

Based on figures released by the KidsAndCars for 2006 to 2010, a total of 448 children have died from driveway accidents. Therefore, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration plans to require all car manufacturers to make rearview cameras as standard in all new cars by 2014.

Kevil agreed that the rearview camera is indeed a great idea. He attested that more and more people buying cars prefer the one with a rearview camera installed and if the car they prefer does not have the device installed, people often request the manufacturer to have it installed in their opted car.

Talking about the car‘s price if these rearview mirrors are installed in all new vehicles, car manufacturers admitted that the car’s cost will definitely increase. However, Kevil said that if ever the device has been mandated soon by the traffic law enforcement, its price is expected to level down.

If drivers are opting to add a rearview camera in their car, approximately it will cost up to $550.

Last February, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration tried to get the rule pass in Congress but the transportation opposed saying that the bill needs further research.

Obviously, people are now opting for the device in cars regardless of its cost. Therefore, he bill might probably pass the Congress since it is widely requested by people across the globe for safety purposes.

Headrest Car DVD Player, One of 2013 Jaguar XJ Ultimate’s Key Features

If you are not yet satisfied the regular XJL Jaguar Supersport simply because it isn’t elegant enough for you, then you’ll be definitely excited to hear the latest Jaguar flagship, the 201l3 Jaguar XJ Ultimate.

The Ultimate was said to be about $40,000 more expensive than the XJL Supersport and $15-20,000 pricier than other luxury sedans like Maserati Quattroporte and Mercedez-Benz S63 AMG. However, it is a bit cheaper than a Porsche Panamera Turbo S and about $50,000 cheaper than the V-12-powered S65 AMG.

In return with its pricey value, most of its enhancements focused on the rear seat area where most ultra-luxury cars are chauffer-driven. The rear compartment receives two-third generation iPads, a champagne chiller and two bespoke champagne flutes hidden underneath a power-actuated rear business table and the most powerful car entertainment system, the twin headrest car DVD player which comes with wireless headphones and dual adjustable rear seat for comfortable viewing.

Moreover, the rear passenger situated behind the passenger seat also has a hidden switch behind the passenger at its disposal to move the front seat forward to provide enough space for the leg.

Well, if the said key features don’t sound good enough, there are actually more that this Ultimate has to offer. Its rear seat also features four-way lumbar adjustment, massage, heating and cooling functions.

Additionally, the rear seat car entertainment system can display content from the built-in DVD player, a digital TV tuner, or from an external media player while both the climate control and the entertainment system can be controlled by a wireless remote which is located at the rear center console. The dual rear iPads have their own leather-trimmed docking stations and wireless keyboards as well with an integrated charging.

Finally, moving on with Ultimate’s mechanical features after its technological aspects, the vehicle is powered by a 0.5 liter direct-injected V-8 producing 510 horsepower and mated to a new 8-speed automatic transmission. Exclusively, Ultimate will be offered in the long-wheelbase configuration, and features a specially-tuned rear suspension to provide comfort to the rear seat passengers.

Apparently, there is nothing more to offer since Ultimate already features the best of the best key features that a car must haves such as the luxurious car entertainment system, elegant exterior design aside from its powerful mechanical features.

New Generation Prefer to Choose Modern Car Entertainment System First Over Car Brand

A new study found out that across the board, brand loyalty is declining. In a research, it suggested that shoppers today prefer multimedia technology for their cars over brand.

The study found out that over the last years, car buyers prefer to purchase cars with the latest multimedia features and modern car entertainment system than choosing for a particular car brand.

The research firm GfK Automotive’s Automotive Intentions and Purchase study, a monthly survey way back to the early 1980s discovered that only 48 percent of respondents in 2011 plan to buy the same brand of car that they already have. That’s actually 7 percent lower than the previous decade.

Said research firm split the responses among different age groups from baby boomers and pre-boomer, Generation X and Generation Y.  The last two which are approximately at the age of 15 to 45 had the least loyalty intentions while the first two still prefer for car brands. Unfortunately, it still drives the over-all loyalty down in the market according to the senior vice-president of GfK, Dough Scott.

Scott further said that technology in car is replacing its brand. He cited another GfK study which found that the youngest portion of Gen Y (teenagers and early twenties) put gadgets over cars among must-have needs. Scott was surprised since it was the first time ever that car came as a second choice.

Recently, every vehicle of the previous month’s top 15 sellers offers USB or iPod integration and Bluetooth phone connectivity. The same makes up for almost one third of all cars sold. For the 2012 model year, only 11 out of the top 15 offer Bluetooth audio streaming for applications like Pandora internet radio and only 4 feature smartphone app platform such as Chevrolet’s MyLink, Ford’s Sync AppLink and Toyota’s Entune.

Now, since the automakers finally found out that people of today most prefer to choose cars with the latest car entertainment system than a car’s brand, some automakers are already attempting to go out on a nutshell. In fact, Ford Sync has had Bluetooth streaming audio since 2007. Such innovation boosts Ford’s loyalty rates among Gen Y much higher than most Detroit and Japanese competitors.

However, Ford missed to take note that accomplishment matters following initiative. Ford has had its share of strikes with buggy electronics giving said automaker with low impression in the J.D. Power and Associates’ Initial Quality Study and in the latest Consumer reliability ratings.

Though Ford didn’t able to make a good hit in staying ahead with technology, it still showed an example that automakers can bring back the weakening brand loyalty into life.

Meanwhile, Brands like Hyundai are currently on track in generating more staying power not only for the generation y but as well as with the other generations of car buyers.

People may now expect the best car entertainment system and modern technology without sacrificing their car loyalty brands.

How Car Entertainment System Installation Vastly Affects Its Overall Sound Quality

Home and car entertainment system has nothing different from each other. They both possess exactly the same sort of sound effect.

However, in a car’s sound system installation process, an overall sound quality can be greatly affected through installation process.

Over the years, though a massive selection of car audio system is always being launched in the market pairing every vehicle’s latest models, its usual set up remains to be constant.

Usually, a car audio system consists of basic units such as amplifier that supplies power towards the subwoofers which in turn drive effectively and subwoofers that are with speakers that usually add their effects and make a difference.

Subwoofers generally alter sound production within the stereo system. An enclosure is used to get the maximum bass production and excellent sound quality from subwoofers. Enclosures are used to create low-end frequency tone significant for any bass-driven music. Each amplifier and subwoofer should be exact same power assessment and output. Therefore, it is always important to bring them together.

It is important to know what makes up a car entertainment system to fully understand how its installation vastly affects its overall sound quality. See its important basic units below and its functions:

Subwoofers – its installation actually expenses a lot of cash. Installation charges vary depending on where you desire to place it.

Vehicle Receivers – if a vehicle receiver owns an older version, it needs to be upgraded. For other devices such as iPod and MP3, its CD player’s compatibility must need to be checked.

High Quality Speakers – it adds good acoustic to film and music. Therefore, viewers can enjoy movies at its best.

Vehicle Amplifiers – it helps the car entertainment system delivers its greatest sound. Amplifiers boost signal from receiver which assists speakers to function at its full capacity.

LCD Television – a headrest or flipdown LDC TV could be a great choice. It adds thrill to the car’s overall sound system.

DVD Player – it should be mounted under the seat wherein it can stand against bumps and disturbances while traveling. This is a perfect attempt in clarifying the installation and speculation from the car audio system in brief.

If you have these above-said units for your car entertainment system, you will definitely enjoy a high quality over-all sound system as you are in your own home theater.
